LA5 X House of Suntory
House of Suntory is an experiential retail pop-up located at Hamad International Airport in Qatar. The pop-up was created in partnership with Qatar Duty Free to present Japanese artistry and tradition to travelers. The exterior takes inspiration from Machiya style wood lattices, reinterpreted in a contemporary form as a reference to the first shop of the company in Japan. Ikebana displays and storytelling elements create a calm moment within the airport. The design joins modern form with cultural heritage.
LA5 X House of Suntory Retail Pop Up by L'Atelier Five has been featured as an exceptional representation of architectural design by the A' Design Award. LA5 X House of Suntory Retail Pop Up earned the Silver A' Design Award in Interior Space and Exhibition Design in 2026. The A' Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design Award is a juried, academic and highly prestigious design accolade which honors excellent design of residential interiors, restaurants, hotels, offices, galleries, retail stores, showrooms, exhibition spaces and more.
