Diamond
Diamond Villa is the interior design of a coastal resort villa. The spaces are opened toward sunlight and free views to create a relaxed seaside atmosphere. Local materials are used throughout, and discarded items such as abandoned cabins and surfboards are reused as interior elements. The reuse of waste items reflects an environmental approach to building. The design does not pursue visual effects alone. Instead, each area gives priority to comfort, playfulness and human needs. Memories of summer and the beach inspired the character of the rooms.
Diamond Residential by Kun Peng Lv was selected as a grand example of architectural design by the A' Design Awards. Diamond Residential earned the Silver A' Design Award in Interior Space and Exhibition Design in 2020. The A' Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design Award is a juried, academic and highly prestigious design prize which rewards outstanding design of residential interiors, restaurants, hotels, offices, galleries, retail stores, showrooms, exhibition spaces and more.
