Lights and Shadows
Lights and Shadows is a residential apartment interior design of 225 square meters in New Taipei City. The design combines modern furniture with light American style wall trims. The public space holds a lounge and a dining room, and joins the role of a club reception with everyday home life. Grey is the main color, applied on delicate spray-painted walls and coarse-textured stucco walls. An orange sofa in the lounge and a blue long bench beside the dining table add contrast and balance the color temperature. A central island style television wall defines the lounge.
Lights and Shadows Residential Apartment by YU Design Lab has been highlighted as a creative representation of architectural design by the A' Design Awards. Lights and Shadows Residential Apartment was awarded the Silver A' Design Award in Interior Space and Exhibition Design in 2020. The A' Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design Award is an international, jury-voted, fair and ethical design competition which rewards outstanding design of residential interiors, restaurants, hotels, offices, galleries, retail stores, showrooms, exhibition spaces and more.
