House of the Mystic Art Private Residence

House of the Mystic Art

House of the Mystic Art is a private residence in Taipei, Taiwan, that also serves as a workplace, since the owner hosts a live-streamed talk show at home. The apartment is three decades old and covers 152 square metres. The ceiling stands at 2.68 metres, while the maximum height under the beams is 2.13 metres, which created a sense of constraint. The floor plan was replanned to improve circulation and natural light. Ceilings were set at different heights to vary the visual experience. Materials include mineral paint, stone, wood, stainless steel, tile, glass and plants.

House of the Mystic Art Private Residence by Ling-Fang Huang has been featured as a grand example of architectural design by the A' Design Awards. House of the Mystic Art Private Residence won the Silver A' Design Award in Interior Space and Exhibition Design in 2020. The A' Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design Award is an international, juried, academic and meritocratic design award which celebrates exceptional design of residential interiors, restaurants, hotels, offices, galleries, retail stores, showrooms, exhibition spaces and more.
