Chuchulab Short Cakes

Chuchulab Short Cakes is the interior design of a short cake boutique in Shenzhen. The 125 square metre space draws on the Southern French coast, using curves that echo the motion of waves. A fence of wooden pallets stands by the entrance, and the low height of the fence keeps the shop visible from the street. The counter uses an arc form to make the space look wider. Lively green is combined with pale wood as the main tone, while dark wood in the dining area adds visual depth. Wall tiles are laid in varied patterns and allow easy cleaning.
