Tiangang Art Center Gallery

Tiangang Art Center

Tiangang Art Center is a renovated building in Baoding that houses art galleries, a hotel and catering services. The project covers 2586.95 square meters and reuses an original semi-circular concrete frame structure that had been left unused. The main body is coated with white granular paint to keep the color pure, giving the clean geometric form the look of a large object that catches sunlight. A curved skylight spreads even daylight through the main spaces, creating changing light and shadow during the day. The center serves as a gathering place for artists and art events.

Nestwood

Nestwood is a gallery and office interior created as a shared space for creative industries. The interior covers 600 square meters over two floors. An organically shaped reception marks the entrance and is backed by a small bio-pond. A central atrium with naturally inspired walls and a staircase serves as a hub for exchanging ideas.

The Lake Art Gallery

The Lake Art

The Lake Art is an art gallery set on a lawn beside Xinglong Lake in Chengdu, China. The gallery replaces a small coffee shop and covers 600 square meters. Solid geometric volumes are cut and combined to shape a facade that recalls a stone sculpture, so the building is easy to recognize next to the natural scenery. The spatial forms refer to the mountains, trees and clouds of the city. A waterproof ceiling, designed as a geometric image of clouds, responds to the humid local climate. The interior is planned for art exhibitions and international cultural exchange.
